PLEASE:

1.    Enjoy 20% discount on any art in the gallery or selection online at mstarkgallery.com

2.    Please turn off the air conditioning/heater/lights when you leave the unit.

ON- you can see the “flap” is open          OFF- you can see the “flap is closed”

When you turn on/off the cassette, there is a delay of about 5 seconds before the flap moves.

3.    Please use water sparingly. Whether or not we are officially experiencing a drought, water is a precious resource in California.

4.     If you brought bikes, please lock them up. Do not leave anything valuable out in the parking lot

FYI/IMPORTANT THINGS TO KNOW

1.    There is no disposal in the kitchen sink. Please use the compost to dispose of food waste.

2.    The TV remote battery is recharged via solar, so please leave it in the sun while you’re here.

3.    The dishwasher uses less water than handwashing. We installed a small dishwasher because we want you to feel comfortable filling it up and using it.

4.    If possible, please refrain from using dishwasher and laundry between 5pm-8pm weekdays, this is when there is the most demand for energy from the grid. Our solar panels are operational, but they only serve the upstairs apartment.

5.    Please turn off the heat/AC when you leave the unit for long periods of time to save energy. It’s a small space and will come back to your desired temp quickly when you return.

6.    How to close the French doors: Close the right door first. Pull the handle up so the bolt engages with the threshold. Pull the left door closed. Pull the handle up so the deadbolt engages with the other door.

7.    Please open/close the bifold doors gently (laundry closet, 2 bedroom closets), sometimes they come off the track.

8.    The garbage gets picked up between 5-6 AM on Wednesday mornings and the trucks can be loud. There are earplugs in the bathroom cabinet.

9.    The remote control to adjust the 3 blade fan in front bedroom is slow to react.

10.  If the lights are not turning on, try adjusting the dimmer

DOGS:

1.    Please keep your dog inside the fenced area. We have two dogs, Frida and Jojo, who are sometimes in the parking lot when we are home. They may bark but they are well behaved.

2.    Sometimes we put up a dog gate on the driveway. Please replace it after entering/departing the parking lot.

3.    Please pick up after your dog and place dog waste bags in the black garbage can in the parking lot.

4.    There are some beautiful lawns just around the block on Johnston 😉
