Brian Bounds

The ocean is sacred space. Every exploration of the deep bedevils us, revealing how little we know. Below the surface is a secret society with its own rituals, languages and cultures.

For Bounds, the planet’s physical and spiritual health begins and ends with the ocean and he aims to express his reverence and respect through his work. 

Bounds received his B.F.A. in Fine Art from the University of Arizona. He is the founder of Devil's Teeth Ocean Project which raises money for people and organizations who are making a difference in protecting and restoring our oceans and coastlines. Bounds lives and works in Burlingame.
